From Classroom to Code — and Back Again

2010 – A Classroom Connection
Justin was Sagan’s Social Studies teacher — both shared a love for using tech to improve learning.

2010–2020 – Growing into Leadership
Justin became a tech leader within his school, leading professional development and supporting staff with technology integration. Along the way, he earned his MA in Instructional Technology, learned to code, and stepped into district-level roles as both a Canvas Admin and Google Admin — blending instructional expertise with technical innovation.

Sagan’s Tech Journey
Sagan studied Computer Science, returning to education as a Help Desk Associate, then growing into a Level 2 Tech Engineer.

Mentor Meets Co-Builder
Their shared passion evolved from mentorship to partnership, leading to the creation of Script Wizard — a space to empower others through tech.

Perspective and Experience.

With 10 years of classroom experience and another decade leading PD at the school and district level, I understand the challenges educators face.

I became a Canvas Admin in 2015, and while earning my Master’s in Instructional Technology, I also learned to code — blending pedagogy with technical expertise.

I believe learning should be active and flexible. Some people prefer to explore hands-on (like me), while others benefit from step-by-step guides and videos.

That philosophy shaped this course — rooted in the real classroom, designed for real teachers. I hope that care and intention shines through every task.
